This week we will be reading selected chapters of the Arctic Human Development Report II (2015), a report sponsored by the Nordic Council of Ministers and a sequel to a prior report in 2004 created to inform the Arctic Council on its progress towards sustainable development in the Arctic. The report was initiated to create a useful set of social indicators in the Arctic that reflected the peoples and places. The selected chapters and assigned chapters are listed in the next item below.
After reading your chapters, all students will be diving into ArcticStat, one of the databases created in concert with the AHDR. Your task is to construct a comparison of one indicator of well-being across 3 countries, stretching over 5 years. All sections of the class should blog this week. Your post will be a graph and paragraph about your analysis, including any challenges you run into.
