The discussion was exciting and gave a good summary – I looked for similarities and differences when I read through some of the policies and plans (mainly Canada, the US, and Denmark).
China will be interesting to observe in the long run as well. As you said in the video, their proximity to Russia could be problematic for the Arctic Council. But then, China has been trying to push its weight globally (the latest deeds would be the BRICS meeting and resolutions), so I am unsure what direction their foreign policies might take. While they promote a grand picture outside the country, domestically, many problems could impede larger steps internationally, as they threaten political stability in a way.
